Overview / Responsibilities
Wood is looking for Completions & Workover Engineer to join our team in Iraq
Completion Support and skills:
• Interpersonal skills to support mentoring and development of Iraqi national workforce
• Ability to communication effectively in English / Arabic and work cross-functionally
• Completion design for both sweet and sour wells
• CTU and tractor conveyance for PLT
• Acid stimulation, acid frac and proppant fracturing
WellWork Planning and Schedule
• Lead and coordinate rig and rigless scheduling meetings and work plans with Reservoir Team
• Attend daily WellWork Operations meetings to support on-going WellWork
• On-going communications with 3 rd party contractors to continually monitor and upgrade job program and execution
• Prepare monthly KPI report explaining the variance vs stewardship
Rig and Rigless Completion and Workover Programs
• Review/endorse 3 rd party contractors programs for rig and rigless operations that will accomplish work objectives safely and efficiently.
• Rig programs include running upper completion with tubing, packers, SCSSVs (safety valves), Electrical Submersible Pumps (ESP) and lower completion with multi-stage frac equipment, swell packers, etc.
• Rigless programs include perforating, stimulating, CTU N2 Lifting, Well Testing, Horizontal PLT, etc.
WellWork and Wellbore Integrity Surveillance
• Conduct daily rig and rigless operations daily report surveillance to ensure operations conducted per written programs
• Provide technical support for on-going rig and rigless activities
• Provide technical support for on-going well integrity issues
• Visit well sites as required
WellWork Close Out
• Review Rig and Rigless program final well reports prepared either by WellWork Operations or 3rd Party Contractors for completeness and accuracy
• Capture or facilitate capture of well work lessons learned and share with other Well Work staff
WellWork Procurement and Materials Management
• Prepare technical specifications, scope of work, sample job specifications and commercial evaluation criteria for contracting process
• Provide technical support to contract tenders, provide responses to contractor tender questions and complete technical tender evaluation and recommendations
• Monitor contractor performance and equipment delivery schedules and follow up with contractor on performance deficienci es or equipment delivery delays
Skills / Qualifications
• Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• 10 - 15 year experience in Completion and WellWork activities in open and cased hole environment
• Workover rig operations and interventions
• Rig and Rigless workover programs preparation
• Downhole Completions Equipment - packers, liner, SSV, ESPs
• Rigless Operations: Coiled Tubing Interventions, Well Testing, Stimulations, Wireline
• Scheduling and Equipment Forecasting
• Scope of work and technical specifications for tender exercise
• Previous Contracting and Procurement experience
• Teaching and member development capabilities
