Operations/Maintenance - Artificial Lift Engineer 

Job Title:

Artificial Lift Engineer M/F  

We are recruiting an expatriate Activation Engineer in Pointe-Noire, Congo, in charge of defining the reliability and costs of pumping or gas lift well equipment with a view to ensuring increased production.


Responsibilities: 

• Intensive support to partner countries of the Perenco group,

• Frequent missions for supervision, installation, audit or assistance with well activation operations: pumping or gas lift, 

• Selection of the best well activation solution in collaboration with the Geoscience team, 

• Monitoring the reliability of activation and pumping equipment, updating the Perenco group database, 

• Evaluation of technical and commercial offers for pumping and gas lift equipment, choice of the best system, 

• Use and creation of equipment and inventory tracking tools to ensure that the right equipment is always available in the right place, 

• Investigation and analysis of equipment breakdowns and cases to improve its lifespan and reliability,

• Analysis and improvement of real-time monitoring tools for pumping equipment.


Required Profile:

• Good knowledge of the different well activation methods and total mastery of one of them, 

• Experience in design and use of ESP, 

• Knowledge of electrical distribution systems: VSD transformer and motor, 

• Good knowledge in Petroleum Engineering: well performance curves, pressure loss curves, productivity index, 

• Knowledge of Reservoir engineering, 

• Good knowledge of well completion systems and operations, Engineering degree

• 3 years minimum of experience as an activation engineer or production engineer in charge of well activation

• Fluent English essential, Spanish is a plus.

• Mastery of Microsoft Offices tools

• Good knowledge of mathematical, statistical and economic project management tools

• Good ability to express oneself and convince both written and orally.
