Artificial Lift Surveillance Center Engineer
 

• The ALSC (Artificial Lift Surveillance Center) engineer proactively oversees the RealTime connected wells to the systems and monitor their performance under his/her area of responsibility and reports any observed anomaly and makes recommendations to solve them.

• ALSC work schedule is 12x7 (12 hours a day, 7 days a week) followed by 7-day off period between shifts and will constantly rotate between dayshift and nightshift.

• Perform and provide (24/7) RealTime monitoring and surveillance service to Schlumberger US clients utilizing Electrical Submersible Pump systems (ESP).

• Act and respond to all triggered ESP alarms according to the pre-established client protocol and remotely intervene to restore back normal operating conditions.

• Respond-to and remotely execute client's requests regard operational concerns/demands (starts, stops and interventions) for the connected wells.

• Establish a baseline for system performance and generate alerts to highlight potential problems and recommendations and then follow up with clients via emails and phone calls in addition to logging all events onto SLB reporting tool.

• Carrying-out and conduct ESP performance analysis & operation meetings with clients.

• Able to perform slow-loop analysis for long-term ESP diagnostics to address problems and provide long-term recommendations and solutions.

• Discuss, explain, and hold technical presentations to clients to address potential improvements associated with the diagnostics results.

• Generate and deliver Well Status and KPI daily, weekly, and monthly reports for each well to various clients as per relevant agreements.

• ALSC engineer will report directly to ALSC Manager and will have a strong communication and collaboration with all SLB internal teams and external clients.


Education:

• BSc/MSc degree in Engineering (petroleum, mechanical, mechatronics &/or electrical) preferably.


Previous Experience and Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of O&G industry, operations, and their production throughout different artificial lift methods, with at least 3 years of experience in electrical submersible pumps (ESP) hands-on field operations and 1-year of ALS application engineering, DIFA, technical sales, and/or customer engagement.

• Completed ALS training programs and proficient in ALS Design and Diagnostics, particularly for ESP, downhole sensors and surface equipment, and ESP affinity laws, with solid understanding of well's inflow-outflow concepts.


Special Training & Qualifications:

• LiftWatcher, LiftIQ, remote control operation, data transmission & SCADA systems, MS applications, DesignPro, ESP-Production Engineering, Soft Skills (leadership, technical communication, and presentation).

• Able to work 12 hours shift constantly and rotate between dayshift and nightshift.

• Able to communicate with clients using O&G production and reservoir terms.

• Understands how Real Time data flows and able to communicate with all parties any technical subjects professionally.

• Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship.
