About the job Engineer, GBC Production Infrastructure Planning

Analyze, prepare and Provide GBC Production Infrastructure planning (Chute gallery, ore pass & chute pass lining, Rock breaker, etc) based production forecast in order to support Grasberg Block Cave operation and ensure all the plans and progress are in line with schedule, budget and company standard.

The key duties and responsibilities of this position are:

• Maintain, monitor, and direct Production Infrastructure plan and its execution regarding the sequence, schedule and timeframe, in order to provide preliminary information and recommendation about project completion and compliance and to ensure the project meet or exceed PTFI Safety standards during construction and operation phases.

• Analyze and Provide valuable information and recommendations for Production Infrastructure project by doing trials, trade-off analysis and impact of new design

• Provide all project controls support activity by coordinate and build an effective communication with related parties, in order to ensure all planning requirements are well provided in timely manner so that expansion activities can run smoothly.

• Support with active field presence, by controlling and monitoring project to collect useful information for the future Production Infrastructure projects.

• Provide and maintain comprehensive reports and data bases of Production Infrastructure project to provide data and/or recommendation for superior's further decision.

• Identify, review, and analyze anomalies, variance, non-compliance, and complaint in any related engineering and planning, take corrective action and provide proposed action to management to ensure all correction activities will resolve the task/problem occurred.

• Provide constructive feedback and advice to Operations on safety, health and industrial hygiene performance, looking after continuous improvements in Production Infrastructure planning process to meet with GOI and PTFI standard.

• Compliance to department safety programs, safety accountabilities, regular safety inspections, identifying new safety approaches, etc., in order to achieve and ensure that all safety procedures are met.


The background, education, and work experience needed to succeed in this job are:

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor degree in Civil/Mechanical/Mining Engineering with 1-3 years working experience in related underground construction or rail engineering.

• A working knowledge of Underground Operations activities, capabilities and structure.

• Knowledge Deswik. CAD, AutoCAD, MS Office including MS Project.

2. Engineer, Operation Data Reconcile


About the job Engineer, Operation Data Reconcile

Plan, control, and analyze actual tonnage report for DMLZ, GBC Mine, and another under-development mine include drawpoint production, undercut, and development areas.

The key duties and responsibilities of this position are:

• Monitor and analyze QA/QC of actual tonnage for DMLZ, GBC and KL mine.

• Build control parameter to increase the reliability of production tonnage record.

• Monitor draw point conditions such as fragmentation, wetness, dilution entry, rocktype, and other related inputs.

• Continuous monitoring on bucket payload, material moisture content, and specific gravity.

• Provide daily and monthly mine reconciliation to underground division.

• Coordinate and communicate with short range production engineer, grade control engineer, and dispatch operation to ensure the quality of production record.

• Establish and maintain good relationship with all related function within UG Engineering, Dispatch, MIS, UG Operations, Oreflow, Geology, Geotech etc.


The background, education, and work experience needed to succeed in this job are:

Minimum Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree (S1) in Mining or Geology with at least 2 - 3 years working experience in UG mining and 2 years in production operations.

Monitor, report, and ensure the Underground ventilation system to support Underground Mine Operations is as planned and meet the regulation (safe, healthy and comfortable).

The key duties and responsibilities of this position are:

• Prepare daily activities plan for subordinates to conduct daily control and implement department plans and goals.

• Supervise the implementations of daily activities plan as to ensure that all tasks is done and carried out in effective, efficient, safe, and timely manner.

• Provide field data and information to supervisor for assessment, evaluation and control the quality and quantity of air in all U/G and surface facilities.

• Monitor and measure airflow, gas and dust concentration in all Underground Mine working area as to ensure that all of GOI regulations on threshold minimum standard are met.

• Inspect ventilation control devices including fans, door, regulators, bulkheads, ducts, etc. on a regular basis to ensure their condition are good and work properly.

• With Engineer plan and prepare a problem solving, send Work Order to fix any problem found in the field, coordinate with related department for the implementation.

• Assist the Engineer to plan and implement short term ventilation jobs to support and supply ventilation requirement for productions and all other U/G activities in order to achieve the production target.

• Conduct dust and diesel particulate sampling in coordination with safety and Industrial Hygiene department in order to maintain a safe, healthy and comfortable working environment.

• Assist supervisor in review and evaluate the status of main and additional fans as to ensure that all fans work properly in order to provide the required volumes of fresh air to all active working area in Underground.

• Review and evaluate the results of daily line up for vent technician as to ensure that all tasks is done and carried out in effective, efficient, safe, and timely manner.

• Provide data to update Underground Mine Ventilation Maps to keep an up-to-date information on Mine Underground Ventilation System.

• Measure/survey underground ventilation quantity and quality to provide data for weekly and monthly report in accurate and timely manner.

• Oversee the ventilation technician in keeping all ventilation instrument condition are good and calibrated.

• Assist supervisor in preparation of U/G Ventilations' annual Operational and Capital budget.

• Communicate company's safety policy and procedure to ensure subordinates perform their tasks in a safely manner.

• Identify and provide training need to improve and enhance subordinates' skill and knowledge to perform their daily tasks and responsibilities.


The background, education, and work experience needed to succeed in this job are:

Minimum Education and Experience

A minimum Senior high School (technical background is preferable), minimum of 2 years' experience in Underground Mining and 2-year experience in Underground Ventilation system.

A demonstrable knowledge on mining and environmental engineering applications.

Supervise and control for Installation of Preventive Support Maintenance activities in abutment area in respective shift working in DMLZ and PB4, to ensure they are executed safely, and the target is achieved in a timely and at the most cost-effective manner, in order to support the continuity of the production and in compliance with company policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.

The key duties and responsibilities of this position are:

• Supervise, direct, and monitor for rehab activities, in respective shift working in DMLZ and PB4 to ensure safe, appropriate and efficient operations to achieve the production target as planned and required by PTFI.

• Identify and control the materials/machinery/workstations before and after shift process to ensure the stability and reliability of system.

• Prioritize and make decisions on which tasks needed to be done first in order to meet the goal and achieve scheduled production target efficiently, safely and timely as required by PTFI.

• Liaise with UG Maintenance department to coordinate the preventive maintenance schedule and damages of all equipment.

• Prepare leave schedule for subordinates to provide data and information, in order to estimate the need of manpower compare with the workload and progress.

• Prepare and submit daily report including used materials and used equipment to superior (DMLZ Mine Rehabilitation Superintendent) to provide data and information about the status of the works/tasks in the shift and its issues which can be used as foundation for decision-making.

• Monitor and evaluate performance and potential capabilities of subordinates, to contribute the development of professional team.

• Conduct daily and weekly meeting to communicate company's safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures in order to promote subordinates' awareness of safety and environmental issues especially working in Underground, which has a high-risk environment.

• Motivate subordinates in participating in training and development programs in order to promote and increase their skills and knowledge which will result in better trained and skilled team that may increase the Mine Rehabilitation and hauling team with more contribution and achievement of production target as planned and set by the company.


The background, education, and work experience needed to succeed in this job are:

Minimum Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree/S1 in Mining Engineering with 2 years' experience in Underground Operations especially Wet muck operations 

or High School with 8-10 years' experience in Underground Operations especially Wet muck operations.

Minimum Education and Experience

• S1 graduate in Engineering or other Technical Field with a minimum of 3 years' experience, preferably in the field of safety, environmental, public health.

• Diploma-3 in Technical or Chemical Engineering with 5 years working experience, including applicable safety and health field.
Preferably to have some trainings in Safety.

Design, control, and maintain all production process control networks and systems to ensure that the production processes are running properly and help minimize downtime to meet production targets.

The key duties and responsibilities of this position are:

• Monitor and correct daily process control performance, process alarms, events and trends at designated area in order to minimize production variances and production downtime risks.

• Configure designated process controls that will achieve targeted throughput, maximize plant recovery and uptime by optimizing existing infrastructure.

• Configure process control variables and historical data to achieve accurate, accountable, and presentable online production information.

• Review and recommend changes to engineering design, drawings and specifications pertaining production process control towards a more efficient control systems.

• Commission and start-up new production control equipment with Engineering and Construction on all capital projects in the designated areas.

• Provide services such as modifications and additions to process control logic, alarms, environments based on clients feedbacks to improve process control systems performance in the designated areas.

• Coordinate with relevant maintenance parties to correct process control problems in order to minimize production variances from targeted KPIs.

• Direct the creation and proofread of operator training manuals on process control networks and systems to ensure accurate and up-to-date manuals.

The background, education, and work experience needed to succeed in this job are:

• Minimum Education and Experience
S1 degree in Engineering or Computer Science with a minimum of 4 years of experience as a process control engineer handling a medium to large scale process control system.

• Computer Skills: Proficient in process control design and programming, understanding of DCS/PLC logic, advanced MS Excel programming and data analysis.
